Answering a southern call. . .: Been a while - sounds like a song title huh?

Hi! It has been a month of Sunday's since my last blog - apologies to all those interested people out there! I have gone through a few months of being a bit pissed off, a bit depressed and a bit of feeling sorry for myself. . . apologies again. I am over it now and ready to greet the new year with a solid resolve to change things - not to wait for them to change.

I have a couple of job opportunities on the horizon:

1: H&P Drilling - this would be working on oil rigs around the country. 14 days on 14 days off which is not the schedule I would prefer but, the money would be really good - good enough for Steph to stay home with Roman full time.

2: Advanced Tower Systems - this would be building cell towers around the country - less attractive as my time away from home would be closer to six weeks at a time, and, the money is not as good as the oil rig deal.

3: Managing a club here in Albuquerque. I am currently bouncing at said club and have been informally approached about the possibility of managing one of the sister clubs here in town. Home every day, decent money and probably the most promising of the three at this time. . .

We had a nice Christmas thanx to the kindness of others this year. My friend Joby invited us to Los Alamos for Christmas eve and day which we took him up on. It was nice to get out of our everyday environment for a couple of days. Laura (a girl I work with) took it upon herself to find us a tree after finding out that we were doing absolutely nothing for the holiday due to our financial situation. She went a few steps further as well, a few presents for Roman, decorations for the tree. . . it was really nice of her and very appreciated.

Steph and Roman are doing well, Roman has really blossomed in the speech and recognition department. He is a handful (as most 3.5 year olds are!) but is a very good boy. I hope to be able to afford a trip up to Minneapolis sometime this spring to get him together with his sisters and brother - time will tell.
